Message: I just got the aluminized muffler and replaced the stock one with it a half year or so ago; had to cut out six inches of pipe to compensate for its length or thereabouts. Sounds a TON better now and throttle response is instant as instant can be. Between that, my K&N intake and my ignition mods the truck's testicles have significantly improved in size!
Can't tell you exactly what I got out of it by itself, though, because when I put it on I also had my plugs gapped incorrectly and figured this out months later - gapping plugs correctly is worth more than ALL those mods! LOL! But if you have your intake already, I say put on the cat back, then mebbe do the in/out thing again with a new throttle body and headers when you're ready.
Hope this helps. Also, http://www.tiborsrealm.com/Dakota/ModsList.htm#Gibson for more details.

Message: i got a gibson catback on my v6 and it sounds good..i got a intense performance intake from speedtweaks.net, sparkplugs and 7.5mm wires and it helped considerably. as for aluminized vs stainless is..the stainless will last longer but also cost's more
