I am getting some Power Slot rotors to replace the stock ones. In anyones opinion, what are the best replacement pads to put on your truck?

I put Autozone's Performance Friction (best Autozone has) on my 2000 Cherokee Sport about 30,000 miles ago and they have been great, when the one's on my Dakota wear out I'll go that route on it. No problems with the rotars on the Jeep (69,000 miles), however, the Dakota shakes when stopping. I just bought it in March, '91 model with 114,000 miles so who knows what its been through, but it seems to run good so far.

mhall02,
sounds like your dak has a warped rotor or two, usually comes from overtightening the lugnuts, take it to your local shop and have 'em resurface the rotors, it's not that expensive...mine had the same prob.

goodluck,
brian

If your truck is shaking when you stop it probable is some warped rotars but as I found out you can also warp your drums out back as well. I took my truck in for just the same problem and they cut my front rotars which helped tremendously. However, the truck still had a slight shake. Took it back and it turned out that my drums were also warped. So when you go in you might as well get all four corners looked at. Just a suggestion.

When I put on the slotted and drilled rotors I had the ceramic rotors put on they do not dirty up the rims like normal ones do and they are supposed to be better and longer lasting.

And Yes, if you over torque the lugs with these rotors they will warp fast! Torque to specs only.

Never have anyone use impact tools to install the tires.

Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!
