i love how all of you are saying that your s-10 is so fast, OH wait till i put a vette motor in my s-10. Last time i checked the viper has always beat the vette up until now it has taken gm over 10 years to bring out something bad ass enough to match the viper. now back to the vette motor in the s-10 i recently installed a viper motor in my 1992 dakota. now no one wants sum

Only stupid people get involved in the GM vs Ford vs Dodge. If you can't make an S10 faster than a Dakota, you are stupid, it's much lighter. If you can't make a Dakota faster than 99% of the s10s out there you either don't have the resources or you are stupid.
It took Dodge almost 40 years to come up with a car to compete with the vette. What's with the stupid 10 year time line?
Apply the stupid Lightening vs R/T arguement. Remove the supercharger from the Lightening and remove two cylinders from the viper. Stupid people seem to think this makes things equal.
When you start comparing equal weights and equal cubic inches you are no longer making stupid arguments.

Stupid? ... maybe ignorant is a better word.
My thoughts are written below.
The GM vs FORD vs DODGE has been around since these guys started making cars. Isn't half the fun of building your car or truck to see who has the fastest ride? I'm glad to see these guys are excited about racing cars.
Corvettes are fast and cool cars, but the 40 years for Dodge to come up with a car to compete with the corvette. I guess if you mean for Dodge to come with the Viper; you are right.
IMHO, the 440 6-Pack or Hemi Roadrunner could be considered competition. What about the Charger Daytona, Plymouth Superbird, or the factory Hemi Darts?
For the Xtreme vs Dakota vs Lightning debate, there is place where these guys can work out this problem. Their local race track is the place to go.

i could care less. like someone else said, its funny to see someone try to pull a car on a trailer, or a huge pile of cow sh!t, and see their pus$y ass s-10's azz drag on the ground. the dak is a heavier vehicle. and people are suprised to see a lighter one win?! i dont get it.
i like chevys my self. they run for a while. their fullsize line up has almost always been good.
but i got the my v8 dakota for a reason. no other midsize can perform better as a TRUCK! not a god damn racecar.
