I took on A 94 Extreme stock and beat it. He was not that hard to take but I think he did'nt know how to drive it. Ether way win or lose I still love my Dodge.

oh yeah yet another post about the4.3.....alright people heres the deal...i've raced about 5 or 6 s-10's and one silverado with a 4.3 and i have only lost to one of them and it was a 97 5 speed s-10; but i was still racing on a bald tire and he only took me by a little more than a half a car and thats only because i could not hook up off the line...my truck is a 96 rc dakota 5 speed the only mods are 5.0 injectors a k&n drop in and an a.i.t resistor...dont ask me why i dont know how thats just how it happens..i have no reason to lie to you guys over the internet its not gonna help me in anyway to do that every thing i say is the truth........have fun aruging ladies..........

if you have a stock 5 speed 3.9 and want real comp from another stock 6 cylinder then race the later model toyota tacomas...

ok it looks like im going to have set a few poeple straight once again if you claim that your stock 3.9 dak w/autotranny beat a 4.3 you are lying your a$$ off. when i first got my 3.9 5 speed i lost to most 4.3 it was usually about half a truck either way
ok heres the fun part daks respond much better to bolt ons than s10 this is were we kick their a$$ as soon as i start building up my dak i started roasting s10s
so next time you think you beat a 4.3 with a stock 3.9 auto mack sure he was actually racing you and also make sure it wasnt a wussy 2.2

there was nno such thing as a extreme in 94. i would have thought that teh 4.3 s-10 would have responded much better then the 3.9 due to the more cid. eather way the dak still crushed s10's on looks. all it comes down to is whos got more money

dont ask me why 3.9 respond better they just do
a freind of mine has a 97 s10 with a 4.3 exact same mods and i smoke him
when i first got my truck i lost 2 outa 3 times to stock 4.3s
and mines a stick an auto would lose every time
i roast auto daks all the time
but yes sadly it does come down to who has more money or in some cases who mom or dad has more money

i own a 2001 chevy s-10 xtreme... dakotas CAN NOT beat me... my friend has one, he's never beat me, i race them on the streets, never been beaten... i don't want to hear it, chevy's own... bottom line

My buddy has a regular cab 2003 (brand spankin new) S10 4.3L 6 He has been in my 1992 dakota sport with the magnum engine, and he admits that i could kick his a$$. Hes got a flowmaster muffler and a K&N intake, I have a dynomax super turbo and a K&N intake. My truck has so much more balls than his and mine is what close to 12 years old. I mean that truck had even more balls out of the box brand new. The bottom line is and he even tells me this because he used to have a neon R/T (that was even faster than the S10) Its Mopar or Nocar

I have lost to both my friends s10's but one of them is rc and is about 700lbs. lighter no biggie the other is ext. cab like mine and he is 200lbs. lighter well i would lose to him about 3/4 truck length we all have 6's but since i got my cat gutted its been different.....now me and him can't pull away from each other....lets see we both have about the same amount of torque(correct me if im wrong) but he has about 10-12 h.p. than me stock, thats not bad considering hes light and has a lil advantage....the daks do respond better with mods than s10's he also has airaid or K&n intake and a galss pack. i have
1)K&N drop in
2)removed silencer
3)gutted cat
4)flow 40 series
5)180 stat
All in all thats not a big difference between the two....the only thing i like about his truck than mine is his gas mileage....whats really funny he likes dodge more than chevy but chevy comes a decent second for him and he has dodge stickers floormats and steering wheel covers all in DODGE!

Why do we always argue about who's truck is faster...? This is about like arguing over which is better, Ford or Chevy...you're gonna have arguments from both sides and no one's ever gonna win. The important thing is dakotas own and will always own the xtremes in looks. Unless you're one of those typical teens who enjoys your truck dragging the ground whenever you hit a bump and having an 8 inch grapefruit cannon hanging off the back...
Shut the phuck up unless you're racing on the tracks...speed limits exist and I'm sure both trucks can achieve the speed limit just fine.

i havnt raced an extreme yet but after shelling my rearend last sat and putting in my replacement a 3.91 sure grip posi it made the biggest difference possible took atleast a second off my quarter.

Well i have a 88 s-10 im getting ready to fix up.
Im going to put a 4.3 v6 in it with a 5 speed trans and about a 4-10 gear in the rear with some after market parts on it. and when im done. Im going to see if all this stuff is true. but i
have a 87 s-10 with a 2.5 motor in it and i raced a dakota with a v6 and he could not leave me for nothing
he beat me ya but he did not leave me by much.

I have a 4.3 with magnaflow, and jba headers, a thermastat, throtle body spacer, and port and polished, and every single dodge i have come across i have killed so bad they almost wished they were a ford cuase i killed them worse than the rangers and tacomas and all the other CRAP trucks you can think of. The only dakota i respect is the 5.7 R/T. And Thank you...
