Any pointers for a slightly mechanically inclined Dak owner that has some (probably) tranny problems? My '89 3.9L V6 occasionally rides rough with no pick up, especially starting off from, say, a stoplight. It feels like it's not in gear when I start moving, then catches itself. It'll do it on the highway as well, sometimes dropping 10mph with no let up on the accelerator. Recently I checked the fault codes and got a 45. It shudders in drive (not in park?!?) but never dies out.

I'm having the same problem. I've been told its
the vech speed sensor at the transmission. They
are $26.99 at Autozone. I'm going to buy one and
try it. Cheap enough. The dealer wants to charge
over $200! Goodluck!

ours(pre 97, i think) are different than the new ones. more expensive yes, more durable? who the h*ll knows. we have to drop the pan too, ugh! thats what im doing monday
