Message: V6 4X4 CC AUTO 3.92 is around 11.5 with an airaid intake
it gets to 30 pretty quick (~4 seconds)and then struggles all the way up to 60
10.5 downhill
i think under perfect conditions the time would be in the mid 10s
i wonder what the 1/4 is, anyone know
I feel sorry for the poor souls with 2.5 I4s V6 rams and QC 4x4 V6s lol ugh should have got a V8

Message: Well I have a feeling I'll soon be owing another V6'er dinner on a bet, in spite of their having an extended cab auto, due to a new throttle body and headers! This in spite of WASTING one by over a second in the quarter mile a year or so ago similarly modded. Has mine trembling in its Michelins!
Hey LI Blackdak, wanna race in the quarter mile just for grins? If so, drop me a line privately; I plan to visit the dragstrip by April 1st and would love to compare times with yours; only adding working traction bars to my list between now and then. Assuming you have a dragstrip or G-tech or lightweight friend with a stopwatch handy. :-)

Oh well thats why i want one of those cars that lets u choose auto or manuel. Acura CL, ford thunderbird......i think, not sure. acura CLs are pretty cool

Message: What year and what rearend on the 8.5-second Dakota? I have an intake and muffler and thermostat as well as ignition goodies and that has brought me down to just under your "stock" number.
Those CL's can really "git" unless my run-in was with a modified sleeper.

Message: whats G-tech? That speed measurer?? I don't believe that time. I can barely get 11 with an intake and it was 12 or 13 without the intake, earlier on it was like 14 or 15 before it completely broke in. mine is a 2000 auto 3.9 4x4 3.92. unless urs weighs less or something cause mine has some sort of heavy duty group or something i dont know mine is a sport plus

Message: LIBlackDak: You need to have the accurate weight for HP and need to practice with the G-Tech on 1/4 mile performance. It took me about a week of playing around to finally get it to where the box is within .2 seconds of actual times.

Message: Yeah our '97 Dak sport is all stock(108,000 miles)-in fact I have about 80 lbs of wieght in the bed for traction! I agree the G-tech does take some practice to get used to and work accurately, but, I've used it for over two years and feel it's quite accurate! I didn't mean to make our truck sound like it's FAST--that's what our '67 Plymouth Belvedere is for!
