Message: Working with your stock heads is the way to go. Get the port and polish job as Deep Purple suggests and also have larger valves put in at the same time.
Aftermarktet heads are better than stock but to get them to work their best you still need to spend time working on matching the intake and exhaust ports. A friend had some aluminium Dart heads for a big block Chevy and there was a lot of material that needed to be removed to align the ports. So spend the time on your heads instead of money on someone elses. These steps will make for a nice running motor.

Message: whitedakota2,
Do you have any prices for a total port and polish job? And also, whats is the reasoning behind the larger valves. Is the larger valves something that can be done at home instead of the shop?
