Have you looked on ebay? I've seen 2 different motors on there for the dakotas? Not sure on the years thou. Worth checking out!! :)

Just looked on ebay. The one motor is a 2000 and the other is a 94. The 94 was $400, i forget what the 2000 was. Good luck!!
