Message: I was ready to order a K&N air intake system ,until I read about the problems people are having making the 5.9 model fit on the 3.9( mine is a 2003). I was surfing the web and found one for the 3.9 by a company called 360 Air Intakez, Kool Shot. Any heard or have one of these and how do they compare with the K&N and Airraid models. And do you have to bend A/C lines or move the cruise control ETC, to install it. Thanks for the help

Message: I got the air raid for mine but I kept my enclosed filter box just in case I get into a really wet situation!!

Message: I got the Intense Intake stage II
www.intenseperformance.com
I think it works great! Cost me $154 and I think some shipping costs, can remember exactly. It was a simple install with good instructions if you need them.
Thinking of upgrading the throttle body next.

Message: Wait, let me correct that amount...
I got the 7" Big Mouth Stage II - $140.00
I think the $154 amount was with shipping, etc.

Message: Try the Intense Performance Stage 2 with the 7" Power Stack filter for the 3.9 V6. That's what I've got...cost me $125 plus shipping. It's been tested and shown that it flows enough to support a 600HP motor...I don't think most people will come anywhere near that with a 3.9.

Message: I installed a volant air intake. It was made for 5.9L but she fits on the 3.9 V6. I didn't have to move the Cruise Control. I didn't think people had problems with the K&N gen II kit. Only a problem of cracking (I thik K&N corrected this). There is one made for the later daks and relocating the CC unit.
