Subject: Dealer Tune up?? IP: Logged
Message: Hello, heres a question. I have a 96 club cab,
I have 106500 miles, I need a tune up badly, I have just about no power and am getting horrible gas miliage.
Heres my question, is it worth having the Dodge Dealership do the work, or should I just do it?
I don't really have the time to do the work myself. It's only $65 an hour on labor. so it's not bad.
thanks for the input.

Message: Ill bet the dealership will tell you that you need more than a tune up. Then they will try to milk you for more money. Take a day off of work and do it yourself. Just my $.02.

Message: I know the dealership won't rip me off, I told them what I want to be done and anything else to certain point, they need to check with me first.
they are wicked good about doing that too.
last time I was in, I had my tired rotated, and they found a small leak in one, and called me asked if I wanted it plugged.

Message: Glad you got a good dealer! They are very rare. Hope all goes well with it. If you have a ratteling noise at idle I would recommend you have a timing chain tensioner put on it sometime in the near future.
