Message: My 92 rolls really bad too. It really needs a new set of shocks and bushings. They are still the originals I think. I think it is normal because it is just a truck.

Message: Well I just installed a HELLWIG rear sway bar on my Gen II and all I have to say is what a difference it made. Now I just have to find the right shock package. The rear sway bar cost $146 from TruckPerformance.com I have also installed Energy Supensions bushings on the Dakota Upper and Lower Control Arms rack, front sway bar links and rear leaf bushings. It's a real simple install took me about 30 minutes.Has anyone in here run the Bilstein shocks on their Trucks I would love to hear your opinions on them

Message: In order to rid a lot of the body roll, you definately will need some sway bars, I myself have Installed front and rear sway bars, along with energy suspension body bushings, upper and lower controll arm bushings, and rear leaf spring bushings. I have an 87 Dak so it didn't come with any sways bars. All of those mods definately helped body roll for me. Paid about $250 for the bushings, and depending on if you get the sway bars from autobahn, truck performance or sport truck direct you can get them for about $120 apeice.

Message: Cool,
so I should get a sway bar. Are they hard to install? does it come with directions.
I'm good with small engines, like single or two cylinder engines.
Thanks everyone!

Message: The Hellwig Sway Bar was real simple to install. The bushings some of them are a pain but well worth the effort and money. Hell if you can fix small engines then you should be able to install a sway bar with no problem just align everything up and then tighten the bolts up.Hellwigs instruction just show a picture where the sway bar goes but the picture is of good quality and is pretty straight foward.

Message: Shocks can play a roll in bodyroll. Different geometry design and viscosity levels can affect overall gravity effect.
