Subject: whistlen while its beginning to work IP: Logged
Message: Every time I start my truck when the engine is completly cold, there is a whistle coming from some where under the hood only when i put it into gear. If the truck is in park or nuetral no noise, but Drive or reverse i hear a slight whistle and hear it a little bit louder when I give the truck a little gas. The noise only lasts for about a minute then everything is cool, until the engine is completly cold again. Any ideas of what this could be?

Message: Not an expert or nuthin, but it might be your fan belt. Ya know, the one that drives the AC, alternator, etc. On my '98, it's one belt for everything. When it got old, it started sqeaking all the time.
