 Subject: autolite plugs new number

Just went and bought some autolite plugs for my 99 3.9L and found out that both the 3923's and 5224's are listed. The 5224's are new ones that don't have the screw on top part - its one piece now. Apperently autolite found the old style had trouble if the top wasn't put on good.

yeah did the clown behind the counter tell you that? he is wrong wrong wrong the 5524's have been made since the 70's at least, they are also different heat ranges the 23's are one heat range cooler then the 24's, plus if you look close you will see one has a gasket and the other model does not. from someone that makes parts to the plug making machines for champion and autolite for over 30 years. I own the company.
