Message: 90daknthe12s,
I suggest you try one before you recommend one.
They actually suck quite bad for street driving and in the rain and on ice or snow. They're great on dry pavement when you want to lay down power fast or off road when slow wheeling or rock crawling but for real world every day driving they are best described as deadly and suicidal in the hands of a "Ricky Road Racer".
I'd recommend a Sure Grip any day and I've had to "replace clutch packs" 0 times in any of mine. Then again I don't drive my trucks like they're F1 cars either.

Message: For drive train parts, the only place to go is DTS! They have the latest in any rear end parts you want. http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com

You can get all this info from Peterson's 4X4 and offroad magazine. But, there is another way. If you wanted to go "redneck" on it, and save yourself a few hundred bucks, just take your truck to someone and have them weld your spider gears together, it works just the same.

Message: I was wondering, has anyone ever tried using an electric or air locker? I have seen them for off-road trucks but was wondering if anyone uses them on the street. They look pretty slick, a LSD under normal conditions, then flick a switch and you've got live axle power.
