Message: yeah i figured that! everything comes off if you pull, but will you get it back on? And everyone is telling me how much of a pain in the a** it is cause of the guages resetting and all this crap and telling me that the guages will never work the same. Man, i don't know what to do!! I really want my white face panel on instead of the black factory. Is there somewhere where i can take it and have it done.

Message: I've never done it on a dak, but I had to replace on old escort years ago. You just pull them off, being sure to put all the force behind the center, not onto the needle it will break really easy.

Message: Hey guys ...put my nu-image black flame guages on last weekend..they give u a sort of needle removal tool..they are on a lil tight...
Start the truck cold..make a sketch of where all the needles are pointing....tear it apart..replace the face..lightly push the needles back on...i put mine in the truck before putting the plastic back on...started it up...checked my needles...took off and positioned which ones i needed...then put back together....workin good a week latr..soo.....oh...a major P.I.T.A is the gear indicator...not much slack in the cable

Message: I used a kitchen fork to pry my needles off. Just slide behind the needle and give it a little pressure and they pop right off.

Message: I just took my entire instrument cluster out, and used a screwdriver to pry the needles off from the bottom of the gauses. Sounds weird but it worked for all of them except the speedo, for that one, I had to improvise. Hope this is of some help.
