I just got my 2001 4x4 CC back from the dealer today after smashing up the front and back end (that's what happens when you do a 360 on black ice and bounce both ends off of a guard rail). They did a fantastic job on the truck ($8000 worth).
One of the things they replaced was my radiator but the new one they installed looks totally different than the old one. It almost looks like a rad with a transmission cooler on the front of it. Not that I'm complaining or anything but take a look at my pics of the new rad and see if you can make heads or tales of it.
Oh yeah, I also ordered in some APC clear corners for it as well. After all, if the insurance company is paying the bill for oem corners I figured I'd pay the difference and have the clear corners put in. Anyway take a look at the rad pics and tell me what you think. Thanks

Deano,
The black thingy on the front of your radiator is your A/C condensor. The new rad is not black (stock is black) so maybe it just stands out more now. Your trans cooler is integrated into the radiator itself.
I know this all too well because I just replaced both of mine yesterday after a similar adventure on black ice.
