Will this part work on a stock 93 V-6? I see that most people who are asking questions about this part have some mods. What would I need to do the stock truck to make this PCM work better? Thanks...

Message: Do you mean that it will only work with a manual transmission? I know I have seen some people on here who have used it on an auto. transmission..

Message: I don't know bout that. Works fine in my automatic. You don't need any mods to have one unlike Jet chips.(180t-stat, and exhaust)

Message: NOSDART68,
Is that the same part number that you bought for your truck? What year is your truck? The PCM in my truck is bad, and I thought this might be a better solution than buying one from a junkyard. How much did you pay for yours and where did you get it from> Thanks for all the help..

Message: This engine controller is for 92 & 93 V-6's. It offers 10hp and 15 ft/lbs of torque and works with both A/T or M/T. I have had one on my A/T 92 for over 7 years now and get 16 mpg around town. Perfomance gains from it seemed small,it was one of the first things that I did and has probably helped the other performance modifications. The downside is that you must use premium fuel.

Message: I have a 1992 and it is the same part number. Mark Green 92 couldn't be any more right. You took the words outta my mouth. I put mine on after the v8tb and it made the truck a beast! It cost $154.00 out the door. Just go to the dealer and give em the PN. Only downfall is the requirement of 93 octane fuel, but worth it in performace. I'd prolly wait till this whole gas price thing blows over before you purchase one though. You won't be disappointed.
