Message: Hey all,
Just wondering if you have seen any shift kits for a 5 speed. I want to get rid of all the slop in the gear changes. Kinda like a short shifter.
thanks

Message: Hurst makes a shorter throw shifter for 94-2000 v6ers. I have it and love the thing. I think the part number is 391-5050. Call Summit, they found the part number for me.

Message: How much did you pay for this shifter kit? Also, did you put it on yourself and if you did, how easy was it to do and did you have any problems? The part number you gave, is that the Summit part number or is that the manufacturer number? I just want to know, b/c i have been looking for one of those for a long time. Thanks.

Message: Hey,
thanks for the info. I called summit racing and they told me that they have nothing listed for any dakota's. I gave him that part # and he said that it is a part but he didnt know what it was, there was no description for the the part. He said the price was 190$. Is that what you paid for yours?
Any one else have any luck finding one.
By the way i have a 94 sport.
thanks

Did you install your shift kit yourself? Was it a pretty simple install?
Thanks
