Subject: T-STAT & Winter IP: Logged
Message: I bought a 180 t-stat and i was wonderin if its ok to be running it in the winhter time. I live in Chicago and it gets COLD. I haven't put it in yet, but I want to. Tell me what you think. 97 V6 4x4.

do NOT use the 180 degree thermostat, it will not let your engine get to operating temps especially since you live in a cold climate. you should put in the same as original which is most likely a 195 degree thermostat.
