I replaced the crank sensor today like some said and it didnt help, theres is no spark after the coil so its no related to the distributor. Any other ideas to what it could be? Are there any fuses that i maybe should check? O2 sensor? Thank you for any help.

What year did you say that was? I had the Same problem with my 93. It turned out that 3-4 wires going to the fuse/relay box under the hood on the drivers side were broken and corroded. Peel back the wire loom and make sure they are all in-tact. You should also check the AUTO SHUT-OFF relay AND fuse in the same box, if that has gone bad, then you will not get a spark. I have a complete wiring diagram for genII dakota's if you need one. Shoot me an e-mail if you need it. I'll have to scan it in. Make sure you check those wires, that had me stumped for a damned week, I changed everything under the hood except that, then I checked, and they were shot.
Let me know what year you have.

Chris,
If you don't have the Haynes manual.....
I suggest you buy it.
If you have it.......go to pages 5-2,3 and follow the book. You may have an "open circuit" preventing "SPARK".

Okay now I've replaced crank and cam sensors and still nothing. Its getting air and fuel no spark. The ignition fuse looks good but havent replaced yet.

My truck did have a problem that might be related, when the engine would be party to fully warmed up the engine would want to die when I start it but only then, once I starting driving around a little it would stop.

Please help.
Thanks

I really need a fuse box diagram. For my 1996 dakota. I am trying to install a aftermarket stereo and do not why it is not working. Also after I messed with the fuses I do not know why but now my A/c completely stopped working. Any ideas?

Thanks
