Just finished making my homebrew intake for my 93 3.9L It was kinda difficult with the airhat on mine. Its the old style, the big ol' round one, but I got it together. I didn't notice a difference in the way that it sounds and didn't notice any difference in performance.... at first. Now I can really tell. Throttle response has definitely improved but I'm anxious for warmer weather to see the difference it will make in the heat. I still haven't noticed a difference in the way it sounds though. I know that other people posted that the intake makes it sound cool under the hood, but not true in my case. I have a Flow Tech Terminator muffler on the way (thought about the Flowmaster but didn't want something extremely loud, just throaty and powerful) and plan on relocating the IAT this summer and possibly porting the TB.
