Message: I have a 87 dakota 3.9 and i just got a tach for it. I am wondering what the red line is? My dad had a 96 and it says like just befor 5,000 but i know that they will take more.
I dont know what (if any) difference would be on the older style pre-mags.
Any help would be great
Also, anyone know how to reset that damn "Check egr" light???
Thanks

Message: It'll probally take more, yeah... Mine went to 5500 RPM once. But you know what? There isn't -any- power up there. The engine falls flat on it's face before it even hits 5000. About the only thing you get at that speed is the noise.
