Subject: Tranny leak from outside/top of AX-15 5s

I am getting gear oil puddles under my tranny when I park it anywhere. I really notice it in the garage. I have cleaned the outside THOROUGHLY to try to figure out where it is coming from, as it is leaking on the outside of the bellhousing and dripping down the case to the bottom. It is also 'spraying' [or driving throws it] gear oil onto the passenger side frame and exhaust heat shield. I have checked as well as I can and it is definitely leaking down the passanger side. It is NOT leaking out from under the 'dust shield' that covers the bottom of the flywheel area: it is an exterior leak. I can't tell what it is. It could be coming from some rubber plug I see that has two wires going through it into the transmission. That is my only guess so far. I thought it might be leaking out of the eng/trans bolts [ones that lock them together], but that doesn't explain why it is leaking above that bolt. Is there a plug on the outside I am missing? Should I just clean it thoroughly and then slap some gasketmaker around that rubber plug up above? Any suggestions?

I have had main seals blow on other engines and this is NOT leaking from between the engine and transmission. It appears to be a completely external leak. Thanks for any/all help you can give.
