 Subject: Coolant Temp Sensor

I had to have radiator repair done. When put radiator back in, had check engine light come on. Autozone checked it comes back flashcode 22 coolant temperature sensor. Replaced sensor. Still have light (tried resetting) and now truck runs so rough can't hardly keep it running? Any ideas what to try next?

what year?
check out the wireing to the ecm
did they use teflon tape on the sensor when they installed it
