Subject: V8 TB For Sale IP: Logged
Message: I have a V8 TB for sale that I bought new from SpeedTweaks. It was on my truck for about 6 months. Definitely a good performance mod, which about everybody on this board agrees with. I'm asking $200. This will include the cable, S-bolt, and a new gasket.

Message: Hey jstarli,
Don't mean to sound like a jerk, but, why you want to sell it? How hard of an install is this project? Been thinking about doing this to my 98 CC, just a little hesitant.

Message: It is a very easy install. I swapped it out in about a half-hour, including changing the cable. I got a Dremel for Christmas, so I decided to port my old V6 TB that I had kept around. It turned out to perform as well as the V8 TB, so I figured to sell it and buy something else, like an electric fan.

Message: Grant,
Different connection at the TB... although from what I've heard the cable swap is like a 5 minute job with a pair of plyers and a screwdriver.

Message: No need to swap the cable on the 93 model year V8 TB-- they use the same cable.
I have 92-95 TBs, as well as 96 and up.

Message: The cable swap is a no brainer. Old cable snaps out of the firewall, new one snaps in. Pliers are needed to compress the tabs on the old one to get it out. That's all you really need to change it.
