Message: i have a problem, i live in NC. and my dak dosn't want to start on cold mornings. i thougt it was just the O2 sensor, so i replaced it like the computer told me and the "drama" continues! AAHH i freaking hate it! my computer keeps putting these dumb ass codes every time they scan it. for example: the retarded computer put out a code that ment one of the pistons was missing?? WHAT THE F*CK IT UP WITH THAT??!!!! i'm about to put a bullet from my desert eagle threw the block. i know damn good and well one bullet will put a nice size hole in it. hell it might even go right threw it (i can only hope). any info on this would greatly help me (and my dak's life span). so give me the info or the dakota get's it. i might give it about another week or so (NO BULL $hit!).

Message: You should put a bullet thru the fuel rail.
That will solve the problem.
You could also put a bullet thru the scanner that the mechanic is using. It may be the problem. There is no way u are misink a pistin. That's imposibel. Dodoge would never do thta ever.

Did the dealership say one piston is "MISSING" or "MISFIRING"?
The rail is bolted onto the intake manifold and goes to each injector, there should be a small valve on each end to put a gauge on. Use a pen and push in the little valve inside. I think there should be around 50 psi so it should spray out at a good rate. I didnt have a gauge either but but I could instantly tell it wasnt enough.

Message: Josh.
My '99 dak was having trouble starting on cold mornings about a month ago. A couple of people from the board told me that it sounded like the temp sensor. As it turned out, the plug connecting the temp sensor had somehow wiggled it's way loose. I plugged it back in and haven't had a problem since.
A temp sensor is about $15 from the dealer. F--k the error codes. If you rely on the error codes, the terrorists have already won!

Message: man i'm in Fayetteville. well boys and girls they found out what the problem was!!(bout F*CKIN time) after spending over $1000 in dino's and useless parts that didn't fix one thing. they (with my help) figured it out! i did get the comptuer replace along with about 10 - 20 different others things, and the truck shut down and no one knew what was wrong with it. they (the retards that were working on my truck) sugested a new motor (cha right!! these guys must had thought i really smoked crack or something). then i asked them if they checked the exhuast...... well well well guest what happened? the "peace of $hit" started right up after they took the exhuast off(from the manifolds on back)! come to find out the cat was clogged andthen they said the O2 censor was the one that was sending all the error codes. WHAT THE F*CK EVER! all i know is that the club i wanted to start is back on(hint hint bigdakota87 if you live in NC)!!! my mind is made up though, about swaping the motor with an 360 ci out of a old Jeep. that way i'll have the motor, tranny, & transfercase for the 2wd to 4wd conversion that i want to start when taxes come back. can we all say one badass 1998 dakota WITHOUT a computer system? well i shold have my truck back tomarrow, but they said the clutch plate might be going out now, but i'm getting a 2nd opinion though (hell i might even get a 3rd just in case). but ya i'm really starting to think about saleing this truck no matter how nice it may look. oh yeah, bigdakota87 get with me man.
thanks ya for all the comments and help

Message: Josh,
Sorry to hear about all of your problems, but if you decide to keep your truck and do the conversion, I'd be willing to buy your head's, intake manifold, and new or old pcm. I'm trying to rebuild a premagnum engine. I want to fuel inject it so I can run FMS injectors and a suppercharger. Seriously bro, if you decide to do the swap, keep me in mind. I'd be willing to make the purchase asap, I'll pay for shipping and everything. My Email address id Nafarious33@yahoo.com. Stay intouch, and if you don't do the swap, let some people in your area know that I'm looking for those items. Thanx Bro
