I have a 98 dakota 3.9. How long is the tranny under warranty? And does the a V8 TB or homebrew intake affect the warranty at all?

I believe, unless you have the extended warrenty, it was 3 years or 36000 miles. Since it's now 2003, you are 2 years out of warrenty.
As for the Throttle Body and Intake? Unless the dealer can -prove- they caused the part to fail, they can't deny you the warrenty. Anyone who tells you that a homebrew intake and/or larger throttle body will ruin your transmission is smoking crack.
