 Subject: 1.7 RR's, or new cam w/ 1.6 RR's?

My truck is a '99 3.9L V6 w/ Intense Performance 7" powerstack kit. I've heard that the 1.7 rollerrockers will give better torque output than a new cam/rr combo.
But still, some of you guys must know first-hand. Here's some mods I'm planning on:
MSD 6A/MSD BlasterSS coil
Crower 1.7 RR's -or- new cam w/ 1.6 RR's
S&B 7" Bigmouth filter
Intense Performance StageIII cold-air upgrade
DJM 3/5 a-arm/hanger drop-kit
Edelbrock shocks
R/T rims w/ Kumho 255/45/17 tires
and possibly later on, the 3.9L stroker kit from strokerkits.com
Now, if a cam/RR combo is a better way to go, what cam brands/profiles should I look into?
