Just plug the hole in air hat with a rubber grommet, and put one of those little crankcase K&N filters on the valve cover. They look better than the rubber hose.

ive been looking into those breathers and most say not for emisson controled vehicles. Will it cause it to fail the visual and or sniffer test?

I passed without any problems. I'm in Ontario, our
emissions are pretty strict. Mine is actually one of
those APC breathers which are cheaper than the ones
from K&N.

They arent emissions legal but wont affect the sniffer test. If you look at it.. that valve cover grommet is used to get fresh air to the crankcase (the other valve cover pulls the air out via pcv). It used that tube to get air from your intake system and all you do is shorten the distance to get fresh air by putting that filter on top of the valve cover. So it is still functioning the same. Most places over look them and when i got an inspection the inspector said "you're really no suppose to have that but its okay with me"

...but dont take that statement to the bank and blame me if you might not get passed.
