Everyone is always asking if the Jet Chip works. Well I would personally like to find out for myself. I recently dynod my truck, a 2000 dakota v6, and now I would like to take the jet chip off and go back to the dyno and see what difference it really does make. There in lies the problem. A dyno run is $75, which I am not willing to spend to find out the numbers. But if everyone would send a dollar or more through Paypal I will do it. If I can get at least $40 dollars I will spend my own $35 to have it dynod.

My current mods are:

-Intense Performance Stage III CAI
-Fastman Modified v8 Throttle Body Kit
-JBA Headers
-2.5" Flowmaster 40 Series Exauhst
-Jet Chip Stage II
-Crower 1.7 RR's
-MSD 6a Ignition
-Taylor 8mm wires
-Autolite 3923's
-Accel Coil, Cap, and Rotor
-180* Thermostat
-Removed Clutch Fan
-ASP Underdrive Crank Pulley
-TPS .75

You can look at my current dyno sheet at: Dyno Sheet

something to remember though... there can be a lot of variation between the dynoes because of temperature and other things.

I had the stage II module also and i had positive effects at the track. (ran slower when i took it off)

I have the jet stage II module on mine and i noticed a huge differance. I guess i got lucky and got one that works. I've heard a lot of people complain that it didn't do anything for their truck.

What I find remarkable about the dyno of Ryan33 is that it apparently makes no sense to go much above 4000 rpm... (not to speak about reving the engine up to the limiter at 4800!)

Another question that came to my mind is: what effect does the PCM 'learning' have on the performance with a Jet Chip? It would be interesting to dyno without then with and again with but after giving the PCM time to adjust. Will the PCM void the gains (if any) of the Module?

No...the chip doesnt change the computer all it does is revise the signal that leaves the PCM. Thats why I do not think that your computer can "learn" the jet chip and void it.
