Message: I have a 98 3.9 auto. When I get to between 30-35 mph my tranny slips then kicks in after a second or two. I noticed it a little after i installed my v8 tb. I think ive checked everything with the tb. What might it be?

Message: Ok, here's the update. So far I was told that obviously something is wrong. Fluids were fine, and etc. But they want to check the TV cable and the tranny itself. I was also told my tranny is shifting too early. "By the time you hit 30mph, it's in third gear" is what the guy said. I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow for the full 9 yard inspection. I'll post as soon as I get the results. BTW.
My truck is a '98 Dakota RC 3.9L V6, 81,000miles.

Message: well. Heard from the shop today. And they had pulled the tranny off the truck. It wasn't the TV Cable or anything simple they said. Thank god for a warranty. I'll let u know the culprit as soon as I find out.

Message: Probubly the Governor pressure selinoid, its very common or could be the transducer (trany temp sensor), they should be replaced at the same time. Less than $200 for both + labor filter and fluid. Most dealerships say the tranny is toast on these things so they can replace em. Dont let em FU&$ you on the warranty either. Get a second opinion by a trany shop if they say the trans is bad and want you to pay for it.
