i bought my 98 dakota 3 weeks ago because my 92 dakota was loosing the tranny. i have had dying problems since then the weather is warm here 60'-80's. i have a new interstate battery new plugs wires cap and rotor air filter and i have had the injectors flushed. it still does it. i am ready to trade it off for a new ford. i will check into the AIS. please pass on any info you might have, this might be my last dodge.

Trade for the Ford, they have a good forum were people don't dig up old posts and threaten members to buy another brand if they don't fix their truck.

hold on to the dakota, try to reset the pcm. disconnect the negative post of your battery for about 10 minutes, and turn key over to start about 10 times. i had same problem with my dakota and this solved the dying problem.

Do you have any codes stored in the computer? You might want to have Autozone pull them if you can't pull them on that year.
