ok i was driving about at night minding my own bussiness when out of no where this crappy beetle flies by me...so we were next to each other at the next light, I took off and he couldn't catch me....then he tried again in a much less wide area of the road and took me by surprise because i didnt expect him to try on a small street and i didnt try to catch him....then at the next light i was behind him and i went around and passed him.
but anyway i was looking at the specs on the car and it looks to me like he should have been able to take me. 0-60 on that car is 10.2 seconds and it weighs so much less (2800 with like 150 lb driver vs. 4100 lbs with 236 lb driver and 190 lb passenger) the best 0-60 I ever got was like 11.5 or so(which is worse then even the 95 hp bug(11.2)) but I think this one was the 115 hp so I think he should have been able to take me. I dunno. At least the V6 can beat something lol..

not that much but together we add up to like 420 lbs. and he's not fat and I'm 6'4" damn it. but still i get better 0-60 w/o passengers. like .5 to 1/2 second. anyway sic whats your approx 0-60 or 1/8 or 1/4 u have 2x4 5 speed right?

sounds almost right. btw i tested the 0-60 again today and it came out to ~10 seconds which is my personal best. that whole holding the brake w/ the corner of your foot seemed to work well. clock was actually still on 9 but i think i hit the button late.
sure its not more then .1 especially in a V6

Careful with the newer bugs. There was one at the track last friday (factory turbo model) with only minor mods (cold air, exhaust, and no cat) running 14.7's @ 90-91mph. Not bad for a bug.

Yeah one of my friend's girlfriend has one...it pulled 155hp and 198ft-lbs at the wheels with only minor mods..exhaust, intake, and chip.

i wouldnt be boasting about that cause those things come with a flower when you buy them..
its kinda like fighting up a girl when you race one of those..if you win then so what all you did was beat up a girl..if you lose then you got beat up by a girl..

Theres a New Beetle in Germany with a turbo charged 6 cylinder 6 speed manual man that car would be so fast. I have a New Beetle with a 2.0 5 speed manual & that cars fast had the needle barried at 220KMH a few times & the car still wants to go it needs another gear.
