Subject: cat going again IP: Logged
Message: i replaced my cat last summer and now it is making that rattling sound again. i think it has something to do with the iat relocation, since it makes the engine runs richer. tell me what you think.

Message: rattling could simply be the heat sheild coming loose. with the truck cold, get a rubber hammer, hit the cat, it you can hear stuff rattling around inside, your cat is loosing it's guts(replace it). If you hear something from the outside, it is the heat sheild, this is common, just get it welded back on.

Message: this is the fourth cat my dak had. inspection and emisions are at the end of the month. if it passes, i think im going to take it off and weld in a pipe. im tired of this. does anyone else know if the iat relocation is the cause because if so, im just going to put it back in the manifold(sp).
