its gives u a lot better throttle response when combined with a throttle body spacer but not much hp gains. the K&N is not worth the money so just make your own.

to each his own. a k&n will work great if you have the "know-how" to fit it in the sixer like dakotadan did. it looks hella' sweet under the hood! on the other hand, you can make a "homebrew" or bootleg intake which probably performs almost as well as the fipk but ofcourse it has its disadvantages. it doesn't look as good under the hood but some people don't care; some people like that bootleg, pvc look. its all up to you.....

I just put on a K&N FIPK and noticed an improvement in performance--compared to my custom made cold air intake with stock factory air box/tubing/tb hat & K&N panel filter!

IMO I wouldn't pay full retail for the K&N FIPK(after all it does need to be modified slightly to fit the Mag6--at least mine did on our '97)

An engine is like an air pump....easy air in, easy exhaust out makes a more efficient pump.
