With some mods yes, stock...no. They weight about 1/3 of what your truck weighs and have only slightly less horsepower.

Thats strange, I also have a 97 and my sisters stock 94 Honda Accord shamefully assaulted me effertlessly. My truck is finely tuned with the usual mods.

at new england dragway I saw a 97 reg swb dakota 3.9 5 speed run a 16.6. 1 full second behind my 4x4 cc 5.2L 5 speed dak. Remeber you may have differen't gearing which will make a big diference

was it an automatic ,have made it practice to turn of the over drive in a mild drag that 4th gear comes to fast . and i wont race on a full tank. no point
