Well... got my Nu Image flame gauges installed. The install was fairly simple... and I was extremely careful (like the directions told me to be) when removing my needles... but for one reason or another... the tach and speedometer don't move quite as easily as they used to. What I mean is, I have to accelerate about 250 rpms before the tach needle moves... and decelerate 3-400 rpm for it to start moving down.. previously the needle was very sensitive to the peddle... showing movement with the slightest increase in rpm... not so now. Also, the speedometer exhibits the same behavior, only it's not as noticeable since it usually is a steady climb to cruising speed, and then I drive at that speed. I just got through emailing nu image asking them their oppinion, but wanted to ask here also. Does anyone on here have any ideas/tips they could tell me? I was thinking of maybe backing the needles off their pins a little..reset the pcm? I'm at a loss. The gauges look awesome (even though the fuel gauge was printed about 1/8th" to high)... hopefully someone can help me out a bit... I can't believe that I possibly damaged the needles when I was so careful with them. Thanks for your help!

You probably just pushed the needles on a little too far. I'd try just taking those needles off again and putting them in not as far. I'm pretty sure that'll fix it. I've put on 2 aftermarket guages, and i had to mess with them a little to make sure they worked fine. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding! You have had this same problem? I'll give it a try next time I get a chance to rip my dash apart. It's getting more and more annoying... it was saying that I was going 45 and I know I was doing probably around 50-55... need to fix it somehow. Thanks!
