Message: Hi stealwings,
the seat-of-the-pants improvement is that the engine is stronger and more responsive above 2500rpm. It's a noticeable gain and wakes up the V6. Of course, I have done a lot of other mods that all contribute to the overall result, so it's difficult to say how they all interrelate.
I didn't notice any rough idle at all... Will check again while driving later today.

Message: Thanks Andy. I think you've convinced me to get it done. Glad to hear there wasn't any rough idle problems. I don't think your Performance Mods are all that far off from mine so this should be a good improvement.
Wouldn't want any other!

Message: Just an update on the valve covers: Have driven about 1000 miles: no oil consumption noticeable. Those holes that Sam cut to make room for the higher lift are working well...

Message: The initial covers are V8 (don't throw rocks at the messenger). Not sure if there's going to be a big rush to get them as they are very expensive-- very unique and functional, but pricey. Hopefully that'll come down, and then the V6 covers can be made. Again, they're gonna be expensive-- it's just a time consuming, expensive process to make them. In the $4xx.00 range.
Again, both a show piece and a easy access.
As an alternative, I am cutting/welding in new baffles on v6 covers now-- (andy's will be a one of)-- and powdercoating the sets. I have 4 sets in coating now.
I'll have pictures of the purple one's when I get them.
