I made one using sheet metal and angle iron. Rivetted together. Looks alright and helps milage. Downfall...I didn't design to make it hinge thus when the box is full i have to crawl in there. Just a thought though. I bought a canopy since the other one is for sale. $75 CAD.

i know a guy who took plywood and built a 2x4 frame on the underside (side facing the bed), covered the plywood with some foam, and stapled black vinyl on top of the foam (staples on the underside so they cant be seen), and it looks just like a over the rail soft tonno, except you can stand on it....
he also made it in 2 pieces so that you can take it off easier...
