 Subject: Early Dak Tach

Has anyone ever put a factory tach in an early Dak? I have a 88 and it wasn't even an option until 89. I know I'd have to get the whole set of gauges and board from a later truck. Can this be done? Is it a plug and play or do you have to wire something in? Thanks for the help.

my friend put one in his ranger, all he had to do was hoop up the positive(with a fuse, ground, and the other wire went to one of the wires that went into the speedometer but im not sure which one. I'm sure that you could just go by trial and error.
