 Subject: Hypertech's Power Programmer III

Guy's lets tell Hypertech we want a programer for V6's. Looks like if they can make one for the 5.2 & 5.9 then they could make one for the V6 also what would keep the one for a 5.2 from working on a 3.9 ??? It would most likley plug in to the PCM.

Do you think that that Vennom 400 that truck performance carries really gives a 25% power increase. Becayuse if it does it would be a better deal because its only $300, and for some odd reason it can be shut of and on.

Thanks for the Venom info, I wasn't aware of this chip, I would be a little cautious of some of their statments.
The 1.7 RR's are a nice addition to the 3.9, they kick in at around 2500+ rpm and pull strong through the upper rpm range. I was using a ported V8 TB but have changed back to the stock V6 TB with just a little of the TQ step removed this setup seems to compliment the RR's better as now I have better low end and a nice mid to upper power band.

I have been looking into the chip by ASE but I have to admit that I am a little nervous about kicking out $350 for a chip that I have not been able to see work on another truck.
I'm a tight wad and I don't have a lot of cash to burn since I have a newborn and stuff but I think that if the claims are for real then it would be worth saving up for. If any of you guys go that route or find someone that has, please let me know cuz I'd love to learn more about it.
