Subject: 1988 Dodge Dakota torque converter IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1988 dodge dakota 4x4 with the 3.9 v6...in the last couple of months the torque converter does not seem to lock up at 45 mph as usual and reduce the rpm's (going by sound only no rpm guage) ...I did a complete trany/transfer case service to no avail (also installed 4 new P235-75R-15 tires) no lift or other adjustment to vehichle, and I have owned since new off the truck. The 4x4wd seems ok and noticable rpm raise in low and drop in high 4x4wd is still apparent,
has any one else had this problem or is my tranny dead?
