can my g/f's 96 3.9 6, i dunno what gearing, 5 spd, tow a car+dolly, car+dolly will add up to about 3800 pounds.. it'll be about 350 miles with the car loaded, pretty much all flat, and all thruway 65+ , what u guys think? i see that the bumper says 2000 tow capacity, but i've had numerous people say i should have a problem long as im real easy on it.

I tow a 3000 pound boat no problem with a class 3 hitch but i wouldn't use the bumper It only has a tongue weight of 200 pounds.

Ihave 00 3.9L auto with 3.55 gear. I often pull a 2800lb camper without any problem, in a fairly hilly terrain. I can usually leave it in OD. I read in my owners manual that if I get a lot of gear changes I'll need to put it in drive. And I do.Oooops you have a 5speed. I don't see any problems with what you want to do.
