When people talk about the V8 TB's, do you just mean taking a TB from a V8? so basically you can just get one from the junk yard?

yeah, that's pretty much it... you do need the adapter from speedtweaks... not too expensive.

Actually, it's the throttle cable from the (preferred) same year V8. It's a simple swap on the cable and TB.
Make sure that you grab the same year TB (95 and older models) as the linkage is different from 92, 93, 94, and 95).

I've got them on several trucks:
Black 2001 R/T, Charcol 2001 R/T, Silver '97, Black '96, White '95...they look good.
