Subject: Beat by a 4.0?? IP: Logged
Message: My buddy has a 92 ford explorer 4.0...it is rated at 155hp and 220 Ib/ft torque. My dakota is rated at 185 - 190 hp (with mods) and about 230 Ib/ft torque.... Plus mine is lighter...Last night we raced twice, I got beat twice...HOW?!?!?! Help? Does this make ANY sense at all to anyone??? Please give me some feedback here

Message: If yours is four wheel drive, I dout that it's lighter.....are you pulling oversized tires?....was your floormat bunched up under yor gas peddle?

Message: We have the same sized tires, and both are 4x4....I looked up the weight and his is more, which I figured it was. and that's a good point about the floormat, I will check on that but I do not think that it was...
