 Subject: Beat by a 4.0??

My buddy has a 92 ford explorer 4.0...it is rated at 155hp and 220 Ib/ft torque. My dakota is rated at 185 - 190 hp (with mods) and about 230 Ib/ft torque.... Plus mine is lighter...Last night we raced twice, I got beat twice...HOW?!?!?! Help? Does this make ANY sense at all to anyone??? Please give me some feedback here

If yours is four wheel drive, I dout that it's lighter.....are you pulling oversized tires?....was your floormat bunched up under yor gas peddle?

We have the same sized tires, and both are 4x4....I looked up the weight and his is more, which I figured it was. and that's a good point about the floormat, I will check on that but I do not think that it was...
