Me and my buddy were just trying to kill some time yesterday...so we go to the lake bottom to do alittle 4 wheeling in my 94 dakota cc 4x4 sport. It started out good, slick mud but nothing too deep. So I get the bright idea to go off the gravel road down into a dip, by the time I realized the mud was tooo slick it was also toooo late....my truck was sunk up to where it was sitting on the frame in mud. Thanks to my cell phone I used up about 40 minutes calling everyone I knew (except for my parents). I finally find a few ppl to come and pull me. Luckily there was a nice gentalman in an old toyota 4x4 pickup with tow straps. we used 20 feet of tow ropes to start with and it still wasn't enough, he couldn't pull me. On top of that we broke one tow rope trying. So my buddy in his 92 explorer came and the toyota went back home to get more chain. I also had a ford ranger, a ford f150 and a lifted chevy silverado with 33's on it on the way. We finally got my truck out be hooking the explorer and toyota together and about 30 foot of chain and rope to get them on solid ground. $5 to wash it at the nearest car wash and a few laughs from my buddies and my parents did not find out. all in all it was a good experience after it was over! Iwill try to get some pictures soon...

That is some serious stuck! Must have been fun hooking up the tow lines to it, eh? Kinda funny that you had to hook vehicles together to get out. Sounds like you had fun!

haha, well it wasn't funny or fun at all while it was happening but after I got back on the road I looked back and laughed...

Its a helpless feeling when you get really stuck, and its late, and your hungover, and its your daily driver!
I used my mazda 4x4 off road plenty of times but could never afford a winch so I packed it it when i bought my dakota.
I chose to play it safe and lower it....then I bought snow tyres!
Best thing to do is never go out alone, beprepared and keep the gas on! LOL
