Subject: how do we get these engines to rev? IP: Logged
Message: I love my 2000 V6 SLT. Its been a good truck and not given me any crap over the past 3 years. However this thing falls flat on its face after about 3800-3900 RPM. To me that just seems silly. Do any of you guys do real towing with a V6 anyways? I know I dont. Anyways, I would love to find a cam that builds HP all the way up to around 5-6k RPM. The motor would most certainly gain quite a bit of peak power from the extra RPM's. Does anyone know of a place that has a cam like this for our V6's? Thanks

Crower 1.7 RR's are good for about 15+ HP in a V6

Message: KRC has a cam with a 3000+RPM(I think) power band. krcperformance.com
I don't know how well the stock valvetrain likes spinning at 6k revs, has anyone run into valve float or any other problems doing this?
good luck,
