Subject: Optional tire size IP: Logged
Message: I've got an '01 SLT Club Cab. The standard tires that are on it are 215x75x15. Listed as an option are 235 x 75 x 15. Has anyone done this with that size? Would there be any real advantage (other than aesthetics)for the larger size?

Message: I have a 2000 dakota and I got got some 275/60R15's put on, the are about 11 inches wide and a little over 28 inches in diameter. If you have a wide enough rim they will fit fine, they dont rub and it gives the truck a nice stance. Also I have fould that I din't spin as much in the rain and handling is a little better. I was going to get the 235/75R15 but they are unstable tires and i would much rather a tire with a lot of grip. I don't know if this is helpful but the rims that I have are the stock 15x8 rims.

Message: I have that 235/75R15's on my qc and they fit
and handle great. They came with the truck so
I cant compare the two sizes but I can tell you
that I dont have any complaints.
