hey everyone,
after i upgraded my injectors to the 19# FMS i found that i was running a lil rich, so i bought the msd 6A not the 6AL, and when i went to install today i found that there were two wires that i wasn't sure where to hook into (the red and the white) for those of you who have done this install without the harness, i'm looking for a few pointers, i've got the box mounted and the other wires run but obviously i'm not gonna hook them up til i find the ignition key Green/Orange wire and the electronic ignition amplifier Black/Gray wire

Do you know where your Ignition Coil is????? That is the wires they are talking about. The wire that is connected to the bottom of your coil are the wires that they want you to cut. The directions suck, but it is VERY simple. You will have to peel back the hard black coating first. Then cut both wires about 4-6 inches from the end, where the connector that connects them to the coil is. Use electrical plyers to take about 1/4 inch of the coating around all 4 ends of the wire to expose the copper wire. Now see the blue and red female connectors they gave you? Clamp/Crush them down on each end of the wires, the blue one is for the bigger wire and the red is for the smaller wire you will be able to tell what is what when you strip the wire. Now plug the correct wires into each plug and your done! I hope you got a new ignition coil becuase I dont think that the stock one works with the MSD 6a. I might be wrong. You will want a new coil anyways if you want to get everything out of the MSD box. Hope that helps.

The small Red wire goes to a keyed ignition sources and the white wires goes to the negative terminal on the coil hopefully this helps you out
