I installed a set of Jet UDP(smaller crank & alternator pulley set) on our '97 3.9 a few weeks ago.
They work great and can tell an improvement in performance--no real bad loss of alt output either--or at least that's what I thought.
Three days after installation I got a check engine light--only code that the odo would display is 12.
My question--has anyone else had a problem with UDP tripping the check engine light?

It probably wasn't caused by the underdrive pullies. I have the 3 pully set on my truck and with my stereo and fog lights and everything turned on the dash lights dim when i'm at a stop light and my voltage gauge goes down to about 10.5 volts but i haven't had any problems in the 8 months they've been on.

Yeah, that's what I thought--no way I could see them tripping a check engine. The 12 code is only a bat disconnect--no big deal.

I have reset the computer twice now and the check engine light still comes back on after a couple of days. I did notice that it seems to happen after I start up in the morning to let her warm up for about 15 min before I leave for work--on start no check engine light--after I come back ready to leave the light is on.

The way I got the code was from the odometer--key on-off-on-off-on--then the code 12 comes up.
According to the FSM that's only a battery disconnect. No big deal--shouldn't even trip a Check Engine light.
